Windows 11 Status
- Windows 11 Compatibility:
- Transition in Progress
- Windows 11 Support:
- Once Vertican products are sanctioned for use with Windows 11 later this year, technical support will be available.
- Until then, Windows 11 is not supported except through Professional Services.

Current State
Software Compatibility
- Clients may upgrade to Windows 11 and do not need Vertican permission.
- Vertican maintains QA environments for Windows 11 to run our test suite.
- If you are running Windows 11, it is essential to use the current versions of our software. As of today, the latest versions are:
- Collection-Master 9.1L.008
- vMedia version 3.2.24
- Windows 11 users have experienced printer issues, including users of vMedia.
- Print driver compatibility issues have been resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling the print drivers. For instructions, refer to this Knowledge Base article.
- While you should keep Windows 11 updated due to fix releases, it has a history of print spooler issues that may still occur with updates. Refer to Microsoft documentation for assistance in resolving print issues.
Software Support
- At this time, Vertican does not provide official support for Collection-Master and vMedia with Windows 11.
- However, assistance in using Vertican products with Windows 11 is available through Professional Services.

- Vertican is in the process of upgrading our infrastructure to Windows 11.
- We anticipate completing this transition later this year.
- Once Vertican products are sanctioned for use with Windows 11, technical support will be available.

- Your firm should also ensure that your current environment follows Vertican’s Supported Environments.
- To avoid potential issues from outdated software, your firm should be running the latest version.
- Can Vertican assist our firm with migrating to Windows 11?
- You should reach out to your IT system vendor, and Vertican is happy to provide Professional Services as needed.
End of Support for Windows 10
As you may know, Microsoft has announced the end of support for Windows 10, effective October 14, 2025.
- According to Microsoft, “When support ends in October 2025, Windows 10 will still function, but will no longer receive fixes, new features, or security updates.”
- For those who wish to remain on Windows 10 after the end of support, Microsoft offers the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program.
- Subscriptions to ESU became available for purchase in January 2025.

Software Compatibility & Support
- Vertican products are compatible with Windows 10 and are eligible for technical support.
- We recommend Windows versions other than 32-bit. For more information, see Vertican’s Supported Environments.
- Vertican expects Windows 10 software compatibility and support to continue.
Software Updates
According to Vertican’s Support Guidelines, to receive support, your software must be the latest version or a version released within the last 6 months.

Software Notices
At least one person in your firm should subscribe to Vertican emails in order to receive software updates and related notifications.
- Use an individual email rather than a department email such as [email protected] or [email protected].
- Department emails are often flagged for non-delivery by our email provider.
- Check your junk email settings and add Vertican to your safe senders list.
- If staff leave your firm, make sure someone else is on point to receive software notices by Updating Your Client Profile and ensuring they subscribe to Vertican emails.
