ELIGIBILITY & CONTRACT | |
Eligibility for vIP Program | Your firm signs a multi-year contract for Collection-Master or Q-Law. |
Prices for Multi-Year Contract | When you sign a multi-year contract, your per user price is guaranteed to remain the same for the first 12 months. On the first day of the 13th month of your contract, your per user price will increase to the pre-disclosed, discounted price. Per user price increases for each year will take effect after 12 months for each year of your multi-year contract. |
Non-User Prices | The predictable pricing guarantee under your multi-year contract only applies to per user prices for Collection-Master and Q-Law. Prices vary based on the number of years of your multi-year contract. The vIP price guarantee does not apply to prices for DTPs, vExchange, other products, modules and enhancements, or custom programming and other Professional Services. |
Month-to-Month Options |
If you do not wish to sign a multi-year contract, we offer two options: You can select the $99 month-to-month per user subscription in vPortal by December 31, 2024. This price will take effect on January 1, 2025. If you do not sign a multi-year contract, and you do not select the $99 month-to-month per user subscription in vPortal by December 31, 2024, your firm will automatically default to a $129 month-to-month per user subscription, which takes effect on January 1, 2025. Keep in mind that month-to-month per user subscriptions have no price guarantee. Your month-to-month per user rate may change at any time. |
December 31 Deadline | To take advantage of preferred rates, your firm must sign a multi-year contract by December 31, 2024. Late sign up is possible (see below), but at non-preferred rates. |
Late Sign Up |
If you do not sign a multi-year contract by December 31, 2024, you can still join vIP later, but the base starting price will be $99 per user rather than the discounted per user rate available with a multi-year contract signed by December 31, 2024. Whether you convert to a multi-year contract from a $99 month-to-month per user subscription or a $129 month-to-month per user subscription, the base cost for a multi-year contract signed after December 31, 2024 will be $99 per user. |
Benefit of Early Sign Up | You will begin accruing points as soon as your multi-year contract takes effect! |
Changing User Count |
Your multi-year contract commits you to a minimum base user count / price tier for the duration of the multi-year contract, ensuring stability and uninterrupted service. This means you will maintain at least the same base number of users throughout the contract term. If you want to add users after signing a multi-year contract, we offer 2 options: Lowest Cost Option: To take advantage of your already discounted user rate, you can add users to your multi-year contract as part of your new base user count.* Then pay for these users at the preferred vIP user rate, locking in savings for the remainder of your contract term. Most Flexible Option: If you want flexibility, you can add users on a month-to-month subscription at $99 per user, with the option to remove these additional users at any time without restriction. Adding users takes effect immediately as a prorated charge for the month. Subtracting users will be reflected on your bill the following month. If adding or subtracting users changes your support tier, the change in support tier will take effect the following month. * When you add users to your multi-year contract, you will sign an addendum to the current agreement at the time of checkout. This addendum will indicate that additional users are part of your total base user count applicable in your existing multi-year contract. |
Minimum License Fee |
If your firm has less than 11 users, you pay a minimum license fee that corresponds to 11 users. The minimum license fee will continue if you sign a multi-year contract. However, you will receive the following vIP benefits. Your per user rate is guaranteed for 12 months. After 12 months, you have preferred rates under the multi-year contract. Let's say you signed a multi-year contract with 9 users and now you want to add 3 users. Users 10 and 11 are part of what you already pay. For user 12, we offer two options: Lowest Cost Option: Add user 12 to your multi-year contract as part of your new base user count.* Then pay for this user at the preferred vIP user rate, locking in savings for the remainder of your contract term. Most Flexible Option: Add user 12 on a month-to-month subscription at $99 per user, with the option to remove them at any time without restriction. * When you add users to your multi-year contract, you will sign an addendum to the current agreement at the time of checkout. This addendum will indicate that additional users are part of your total base user count applicable in your existing multi-year contract. |
Auto Renewal |
For your convenience, your multi-year contract will auto-renew. Vertican will provide a minimum 90-day notification and disclosure of prices for the next multi-year contract. At the time of renewal, you may change to a different number of years (e.g. 5 years to 4 years or 3 years to 5 years). Unless you change the number of years, your multi-year contract will renew for the same number of years. |
Non Renewal |
If you do not wish to renew a multi-year contract and you wish to switch to a month-to-month subscription, you will need to meet with a Vertican representative first. Once your multi-year contract expires, your point balance will go to zero. |
Contract Termination |
Before you terminate a multi-year contract, we strongly encourage you to consult with an Account Manager first. Your multi-year contract is a legally binding contract to pay Vertican for the number of years specified, and for the total base user count applicable in your multi-year contract and any addendums.* When you terminate a multi-year contract, you will need to pay the balance due. For example, if you terminate a 4-year contract at the end of the 3rd year, you will need to pay the 4th year balance as a lump sum payment to terminate your contract. * When you add users to your multi-year contract, you will sign an addendum to the current agreement at the time of checkout. This addendum will indicate that additional users are part of your total base user count applicable in your existing multi-year contract. |
POINTS | |
Multiply Your Points |
vIP members earn a point for every dollar spent on products and services, including paid users. Double the points you earn: Convert to ACH as your payment method for all purchases OR go "All In" with your data on vExchange.* Triple the points you earn: Convert to ACH as your payment method for all purchases AND go "All In" with your data on vExchange.* * Currently, vExchange "All In" is only available to Collection-Master clients. |
Earn Bonus Points |
You can earn one-time bonus points as follows: Welcome Bonus: Receive a one-time bonus when you sign a multi-year contract. Partner Bonus: Receive a one-time bonus when you sign with a VT Preferred Partner for Vertican File & Serve (VTFS) and/or Payment Processing and complete your first transfer. See the Points section of the main vIP Program page for more information. |
Requirements to Earn Points | To earn points, your firm must have an active multi-year contract. In addition, while you can still accrue points with an unpaid invoice, you cannot redeem points with an unpaid invoice. |
Expiration of Points | Points expire at the end of your multi-year contract. Unused points cannot be reinstated after expiration. |
Termination of Points |
If a multi-year contract is terminated for any reason, the client forfeits accrued points. Here are three scenarios: Non Renewal of multi-year contract: Client loses points effective with the end of the multi-year contract. Early Termination of multi-year contract: Client loses points effective with the termination date and the remaining balance is due before the contract can be terminated. If a client terminates and then restarts a multi-year contract later: Prior points are not restored. |
Points are Non-exchangeable / Non-refundable | Points cannot be redeemed for cash. There is no refund for unused points that were not redeemed prior to expiration. |
Points are Non-transferrable | Points accrued under the vIP Program are not transferable and may only be redeemed by the entity that earned the points. Points do not transfer upon merger or acquisition. |
Point Balance | By the end of 2024, your firm admin will have access to monitor your point balance in vPortal. Vertican will announce when the point balance is available for viewing. |

Your multi-year contract is based on your total number of users at the time you sign the contract. This means you will maintain at least the same base number of users throughout the contract term. We encourage you to make sure this number is accurate in advance of signing the contract.
