How to Refresh Your Browser Cache

On occasion, the browser software does not refresh its cache after a deployment. This causes users to continue using the old version of our software. In rare instances, parts of the cache seem to refresh, leaving the user in a “no man’s land” where the software malfunctions until the cache has completely refreshed.

Browser Cache

Browser software maintains a local copy of some files in order to speed up browsing. When we deploy a new version of Analytics, users’ browser software should automatically refresh the local cache and display our latest version.

Troubleshooting Steps

The user must “force refresh” their browser.

  • Hold Ctrl (Control) + Fn + F5 on your keyboard.
  • Or hold Ctrl (Control) on your keyboard while clicking the Refresh button in your browser.
  • If necessary, you can find more information on how to clear your cache and cookies in Chrome.
