Vertican Help Center: A Demonstration and Tour

Presented by Joe Woodward and Michelle Samlaska

Joe has been with Vertican since 2012. He began his tenure with the company as a Client Success Representative moving up the ranks to Business Systems Analyst, followed by Team Lead, and now his current position, Service Group Leader for the Collection-Master Client Success team. Joe’s extensive industry and company experience enable him to focus on supporting and educating our clients on all things related to Collection-Master, vMedia, and vExchange. He also leads training sessions to teach employees about Vertican applications and troubleshooting steps to better assist our clients. Joe has played a critical role in developing and implementing ways to improve the efficiency of the Client Success team as well as make things easier for our clients.
Michelle Samlaska
Michelle has been in the legal and credit collection industry since 1992. She started at a law firm as a paralegal and then ventured into the collection industry working on collections and repossessions for a large auto finance company (GMAC). She then moved on to a retail lender (AIG Group) as a Branch Manager where she made credit decisions for various types of loans, including mortgages, auto loans, debt buying, and personal loans. She not only made loans, but also collected on delinquent accounts and worked closely with the law firm that handled the litigation. From there she went on to become a manager at a creditors’ rights law firm where she exponentially expanded her skillset in the industry. Her responsibilities there included drafting special pleadings, managing a collection department, and overseeing document production, foreclosures and creditors’ rights bankruptcy responses and pleadings. In 2008, she was hired as a Client Support Rep by Q-Soft, LLC, later to become part of Vertican. In 2016, she was promoted to Team Lead and is now Vertican’s Client Success Service Group Leader for Q-Law and Q-LawE.

Equally important, the Help Center outlines what you can expect from Vertican and what Vertican expects and needs from you to ensure a successful product and support experience.
In this special demonstration, Joe and Michelle will walk you through your new Help Center, highlighting the following:
  • Self-Help Resources – Software documentation, product and feature videos, as well as troubleshooting tips
  • Technical Support – Guided steps to ensure a timely resolution to your support requests
  • Professional Services – Outlined specifics on when and how to obtain extended assistance
  • Plans and Pricing – Understanding your firm’s support plan as well as the factors that affect your billing. New pricing for some services will go into effect on August 1, 2022.
  • How to Use vPortal – Directions on how to complete the most common transactions
Effective August 1, the Help Center will replace the vPortal’s Client Support Reference Guide. So don’t miss out on this important opportunity for a personalized tour led by Subject Matter Experts.
