YGC Pcodes for Debt Itemization in Initial Demand Letter
Seven new Pcodes are going to be added to YGC to transmit the information needed for debt itemization in the initial demand letter.
- Senders can use “Information On Claim” (I) category = *cc:I000 in YGC and vExchange *vX:I000.
- Receivers can send the information back to senders using the “Work Claim” (W) category = *cc:W000 in YGC and vExchange *vX:W000.
- Pcodes will be transmitted in YGC records 09 and 39 and in vExchange records 1405 and 2405.

Itemization date description and Itemization date
New itemization requirement (a breakdown of the debt) at time of “itemization date:” One of five reference dates debt collector may choose.
- Last statement date
- Charge-off date
- Last payment date
- Transaction date
- Judgment date
Balance as of Itemization Date
Should be the balance of the claim as of the date used to start the itemization calculation.
Fees for itemization
The sum of all fees and charges that have accrued between the itemization date and the placement date. An itemization of the current amount of the debt.
Interest for itemization
The sum of all interest that has accrued between the itemization date and the placement date. An itemization of the current amount of the debt.
Charges for itemization
The sum of all charges/debits that have accrued between the itemization date and the placement date. An itemization of the current amount of the debt. This must reflect the amount of the debt incurred since the itemization date attributable to fees, interest, or other charges that increase the balance of the account.
Credits for itemization
The sum of all payments/credits that have been posted between the itemization date and the placement date. An itemization of the current amount of the debt. This must reflect the amount of the credits applied since itemization date attributable payments and other credits that reduce the balance of the account.
