Receivers & Senders
Data Insights
The vExchange team can provide you with actionable business intelligence by digging into your specific data. Some examples:
- Senders: We can help you understand where the highest collectability is, down to the zip code. For example, where to spend your money to save the most on court costs.
- Receivers: Would you like to know which Senders are making you the most money?
Monitoring
A hands on/ white glove service to monitor overall data flow, collect data insights, and propose recommendations.
- Examples of this service include monitoring of data processing, file delivery, file rejections, and/or record rejections by the vExchange team.
- Service can be tailored based on needs and is recommended as an additional service if you are planning a go live, business rule update, or other initiative where a vExchange SME can identify and help prevent any issues.
- Data monitoring/insights include a report dashboard that can be tailored per the business request.
Onboarding Support
While vExchange provides an Onboarding Guide, many Receivers and Senders benefit from hands-on guidance throughout the process.
Ways we can help:
- Navigating the FTP site
- Preparing files for testing
- Adding Analytics users
Some onboarding situations require Professional Services, such as:
- Programming the vExchange Native data standard with your non-Vertican system of record.
- Programming your third-party or proprietary interface with the YGC Data Standard license.
- Completing testing.
Redelivery / Recreation of Data Files
- The vExchange team will recreate a previously delivered data file or create a file for a specific time frame.
- This service can also be used to request an export of data in the desired output (for example: CMvX, YGC, or vExchange Native data format).
Custom Reports - Ad Hoc
Based on business needs, the vExchange team will create a one-time report based on data available in vExchange.
- Some examples of an ad hoc report are:
- Open Inventory across the network
- Identification of Accounts with Disputes within a specific time frame
- Direct Payments received on accounts
- Ad hoc reports will be delivered once and are not recurring. If a recurring report is desired, a subscription-based report should be purchased instead.
Custom Reports - Subscription Based
Based on your business needs, the vExchange team will create a recurring report based on data in vExchange. Examples:
- Expected Remits from Payment Plans
- Current Inventory and Account Status
- Accounts that have been Settled or Paid in Full
Updates to Status Codes
Updates to Status Codes sent in error & recalculation of Account Status. Requires Sender approval if requested by a Receiver.
- Status Codes allow Senders and Firms to communicate information to one another in a Note Record (vEx Records 2401, 2402, 2405, 2407, 2410).
- Some Status Codes are associated with a Key Event, which means they will advance the Account Status.
- The Account Status is a calculated field within vExchange and vExchange Analytics based on the data that is received by firms in a 2000 series record.
- Status Codes can only advance the status of a claim; a Status Code cannot be sent to revert the Account Status to a preceding Key Event.
- The vExchange team will recalculate the Account Status to the desired status.
Web Based Training & Consulting
- You can always purchase Vertican Professional Services for hourly Web Based Training or Web Based Consulting.
- If you want Analytics training, we have a vPro Service Package available for vExchange Analytics Rejections.
SOW-based Professional Services
If you have other needs, you can request a Statement of Work at My Vertican > My SOWs > Request New SOW or find more information about the SOW process.
Custom Gates
Sender Specific
Archive Claims
-
The vExchange team will create a Note Record, which will be processed into vExchange to move the account to an Archived status.
-
A *vX:C901 code will be created in vExchange and Vertican will inform the Receiver that the account has been moved to an Archive status.
Unarchive Claims
-
The vExchange team will create a Note Record, which will be processed into vExchange to move the account to an Unarchived status.
- This note is not communicated to Receivers, as information is not sent or received while an account is Archived.
-
A *vX:C951 code will be created in vExchange to initiate the unarchive process.
Change Key Updates
-
The vExchange team will update one of the following Account Keys:
-
cred_fileno
-
forwarder_id
-
sender_int_file
-
-
Note that agent_id is not included in the above list; the Sender should recall and then replace the account with the new Receiver.
-
In most cases, Change Key requests are completed on the weekend or during another agreed-upon time that will not impact daily vExchange processing.
-
Senders should provide ample notice, when possible. A minimum of 2 business days notice is recommended.
Custom Gates
-
A Gate in vExchange can be created to implement a Sender’s business rules and evaluate the data that is being sent on placed accounts in real time.
-
The vExchange team will translate the Sender’s business rules into technical business requirements and partner with the Sender throughout the creation and implementation of the Gate.
-
Vertican will notify Receivers in the Sender’s network to inform them of the Gate implementation.
-
After implementation, the Sender can access Gate Reports and Widgets in vExchange Analytics to evaluate Gate rejections/exceptions within the Sender’s network.
- This service involves a recurring subscription and an SOW, which will be created by Vertican after the initial meeting.
Universal Gates
- Go to the vStore to see all Universal Gates.
Hard Close Accounts
-
The vExchange team will create a Note Record to advance the Claim Status to Closed.
-
Hard Close status codes are available for Senders to close an account without the need for the Receiver to echo the close code back. This is useful when:
-
Receivers are unresponsive to requests to close the account or are out of business, or
-
Senders wish to ensure that the Account Status reflects as Closed (CL) in the Analytics Dashboard.
-
- Download Hard Close Status Codes in Excel.
Remediation Files
-
The vExchange team will work with the Sender to create a remediation file in the desired format to deliver data that has not been previously delivered or to redeliver data.
-
For example, a remediation file can be requested if a Sender would like to receive data that Rejected by a Gate.
